Solderable Directly Enameled Aluminum Round Wire – Class 155, Polyurethane, Lightweight Alternative for Electronic Coils
QAL-155 is a high-performance solderable polyurethane enameled aluminum wire with direct solderability – the insulation layer can be soldered through without pre-stripping. This unique feature makes it ideal for high-speed automated winding and soldering processes in electronic applications where weight reduction is a priority.
Aluminum conductors provide a significant weight advantage – approximately one-third the weight of copper – making QAL-155 the ideal choice for lightweight electronic coils, transformers, sensors, and automotive components where every gram matters.
With a thermal class of 155°C (Class F) and polyurethane insulation, this wire offers excellent solderability at typical soldering temperatures while maintaining reliable thermal performance. The direct solderability eliminates the need for mechanical or chemical stripping, enabling efficient and cost-effective manufacturing.
